Borussia Dortmund Squad4/23/2021
I am looking forward to seeing the players again and helping them with another key stage in their development.Lucien Favres project at the Westfalenstadion still feels like its a work in progress, with Borussia Dortmund unable to shake off their stereotypical ability to lose to any team on the planet, immediately prompting questions about their mentality. On paper, Dortmund probably have the best squad in the Bundesliga, but with title rivals Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig set to improve even more at the end of the season, fans will be hoping for a similar show of strength in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Things probably wont go their own way in the transfer market, but if they did, heres what Borussia Dortmunds squad could look like next season. Milot Rashica - Its a signing which has made sense for quite some time and even if Werder Bremen arent relegated this season, Rashica should make his 200km move south sooner rather than later. Achraf Hakimi - Real Madrid will not let Hakimi go without a fight, but the Morocco international would be the perfect signing for Borussia Dortmunds long-term plans. Jude Bellingham - Apparently, young English players turn out quite well when they join Borussia Dortmund, so it would be rude not to add another one. He can play either as a central midfielder or on the wing. Borussia Dortmund Squad Free Transfers ThatsThomas Meunier - Borussia Dortmund dont have any issue with depth at full-back this season, but with at least one on their way out in the summer, it would be rude not to pick up one of the best free transfers thats available in 2020. Free Potential Spend: 132.5m Transfers Out Now, Jadon Sancho will probably leave Borussia Dortmund this summer. Lukasz Piszczek - There are only two players who are going to be released by Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, which means for Piszczek, his 10-year spell at the club will come to an end. Free Mario Gtze - Few players throughout history have had to deal with as much change in their career as Gtze. He was European footballs brightest wonderkid and he won a world cup, but ultimately illness has taken its toll on what could have been one of the all-time great careers. Free Mahmoud Dahoud - Three years on, things just havent really worked out for Dahoud at Borussia Dortmund under his former manager at Borussia Mnchengladbach. A move away seems the best scenario for his career. Thomas Delaney - He had an outstanding partnership with Axel Witsel last season, but Emre Cans taken the mantle as the Belgians new partner in crime. Marcel Schmelzer - Were not crying. Honestly. 1m Andr Schrrle - These next four are out on loan at the moment and Schrrles in Russia, but he wont be needed when he returns at the end of the season. Potential Sales: 45m Full First-Team Squad for 202021 in a Dream Scenario (inc. Squad Numbers) 1. Roman Brki 2. Dan-Axel Zagadou 5. Achraf Hakimi ( New Signing ) 6. Nico Schulz 15. Mats Hummels 16.
